YOGA AND YOUR PELVIC FLOOR: 4-WEEK WORKSHOP SERIES WITH MARLENE MCGRATH

A balanced pelvic floor is crucial for optimum functioning of the body. Problems related to the health of the pelvic floor can include: pelvic pain or weakness, incontinence, or pelvic organ prolapse. Over the 4 weeks of this workshop series, we will study the anatomy, structure, and function of the pelvic floor using different models and images to understand its relation to everyday actions, the breath, and basic yoga postures. Each week a series of yoga postures will be instructed to promote the strength, flexibility, suppleness and relaxation of the pelvic floor. All students of yoga are welcome. Workshop recordings available for 30 days. 

prenatal yoga birth partner workshop

THURSDAY, MAY 2, 2024, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, $60 PER COUPLE (offered every 2-3 months)
In-person workshop, online per special request

Pregnant students and their birth partners are invited to a workshop exploring yoga postures that can be used during labor. Learn and practice postures with your partner, which utilize gravity to encourage the baby’s descent and utilize your body’s natural abilities to open during labor and birth. Partners will learn how to assist with the postures, movement, and relaxation. We discuss and practice moving during early and active labor, including positions for birthing. We also explore approaches, including breathe awareness and sound, to work with the transformational pain of labor.

Registration and payment are required before the day of the workshop unless you are very close to your estimated due date. In that case please submit a registration and you can pay the day of the workshop if you are still pregnant! Payment can be made through the Paypal option below.
